Testimonials
“Thanks to the Grace Dart Foundation’s extraordinary gift, previously
homeless men and women are receiving the help they need to not
only age in dignity, but take part in their community. Especially now, in
these uncertain times, we are most grateful to you and the meaningful
opportunities your generosity provides. It allows us to affect real social
change, and to provide a warm, safe living environment for elderly
people who would otherwise have no place to go.”
‘’Thanks to the Grace Dart Foundation, we have been able to significantly
increase the number of institutions that we visit and the number of days
that we can dedicate to them. During the pandemic, this donation has
allowed us to establish virtual visits, provide video production and outdoor
visits in order to continue to bring joy and happiness to the elderly.”
“More than ever we are seeing the value of nursing and support care
for seniors in the comfort of their own homes. Our thanks to the Grace
Dart Foundation for giving us the opportunity to help even more seniors
in their own homes by providing them with compassionate, quality care.
We are honoured to be able to accomplish this mission because of their tremendous support.”
“With generous support from the Grace Dart Foundation we’ve been able
to offer adapted comforting support to seniors from the English-speaking
and immigrant community. Thanks to our large team of volunteers, our
experience with senior citizens, and the Grace Dart Foundation’s in-depth
knowledge of these communities, we can together break the pattern of
isolation that too many elderly experience. We are equally happy and
proud of the promising alliance that is taking shape as a result of this
partnership. Thank you!”
“The unprecedented circumstances to which we had to adapt over the
past few months came with its share of uncertainty and challenges. We
are truly thankful for the help and support the Grace Dart Foundation has
given us in order to improve our residents’ situation. Your contribution
brought a lot of reassurance and joy to our residents at a time many of
them were struggling with the mandatory isolation. Thanks to your financial
assistance, we were able, amongst other things, to buy and distribute
over 20 iPads in our facilities, giving our residents a chance to reconnect
with and see their loved ones. On behalf of our long-term care residents
and their families who have benefited from your generosity, we would like
to express our deepest gratitude.”
"The Grace Dart Foundation is a distinguished partner of the Montreal West Island IUHSSC in offering services for the well-being of our residents. The
love and generosity you consistently offer them is what they need most,
especially in these difficult times. I value our partnership and am truly
grateful for all that you do for our older citizens."
“Thanks to the generous donation made by the Grace Dart Foundation,
the McGill Dementia Education Program has partnered with the MUHC
Patient Education Office in order to develop the first ever “Dementia
Education Booklet for Persons with Dementia and their Caregiver”
that will be distributed to patients and family members throughout the
MUHC hospital system providing them with a thorough understanding
on dementia and best care practices. This “prescription of care” will be
translated in multiple languages and will be available online in addition to
print copies. We are extremely grateful to the Grace Dart Foundation for
contributing towards this very important educational tool that will have a
significant impact on the lives of so many individuals.”
